Interview with BestScalper (DARWIN $XIN)

BestScalper won the second edition of our DarwinIA trading challenge and is leading this month’s edition, too. In this brief interview, he tells a bit about his trading experience and his trading strategy. Here it goes:

So, tell us a little about yourself. How did you get started and how long have you been trading for?

I have been trading forex for 5 years now. When I started,  I found it difficult to manage my feelings, so I decided to develop my own EAs. I built a team of fx traders in China, now we develop our own EAs to trade with ECN brokers only.

About your trading strategy: what pairs do you usually trade? Do you always trade the same timeframes?

I like stable pairs like EURUSD, GBPUSD, EURCAD, GBPCAD, EURGBP, GBPCHF, AUDUSD or AUDNZD. I trade mostly on M15 & H1 frames, avoiding the most volatile periods.

As a trader, what would you say is your greatest strength?

All my trades are automated, hence my greatest strength is discipline. I don’t let feelings affect our trades.

And your biggest weakness?

Managing my feelings. That’s why I decided to build a team to help me automate all my trades!

Our algos show you are very good when it comes to the Timing & Discipline attributes. Any ideas for other traders who need to improve on those attributes?

It’s all about discipline and risk management. Don’t be too greedy or the market will beat you!

What is the most important lesson you have learnt in your trading career?

I once followed my guts and opened a trade… I didn’t set any SL and it costed me a lot of money. Since then, I only trade with EAs.  If you are not into EAs, at least make sure you always set your SL, otherwise your mind will play tricks on you!

Finally, any comment you’d like to share with the fellow traders who read this?

Darwinex is the best place for traders. We will make history together!
